Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying above a popular southern California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Footage shared on the internet depict the helicopter beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

The department indicated the helicopter was associated with an regular “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for the next day.
