Primatologist Jane Goodall Shared Desire to Send Musk and Trump on Single-Journey Cosmic Voyage
After devoting her life observing chimpanzee conduct, Jane Goodall became an authority on the combative nature of dominant males. In a recently released interview documented shortly before her demise, the famous primatologist revealed her unique solution for addressing particular figures she viewed as displaying similar characteristics: launching them on a one-way journey into outer space.
Legacy Interview Unveils Candid Thoughts
This remarkable perspective into Goodall's thinking emerges from the Netflix film "Famous Last Words", which was captured in March and kept secret until after her recent demise at nine decades of life.
"I've encountered people I dislike, and I want to send them on a spacecraft and dispatch them to the celestial body he's convinced he'll find," stated Goodall during her discussion with the interviewer.
Named Figures Identified
When inquired whether the SpaceX founder, known for his disputed actions and connections, would be part of this group, Goodall responded affirmatively.
"Oh, absolutely. He'd be the leader. You can imagine who I'd put on that spaceship. In addition to Musk would be Donald Trump and some of Trump's loyal adherents," she announced.
"Furthermore I would add the Russian president in there, and I would include China's President Xi. I'd certainly put Israel's prime minister on that journey and his administration. Send them all on that spacecraft and dispatch them."
Previous Criticism
This wasn't the first time that Goodall, a champion of ecological preservation, had shared negative views about the former president specifically.
In a 2022 interview, she had remarked that he displayed "comparable kind of conduct as a male chimpanzee will show when he's competing for leadership with an opponent. They posture, they parade, they present themselves as really more large and hostile than they may actually be in order to frighten their rivals."
Leadership Styles
During her posthumous documentary, Goodall further explained her comprehension of dominant individuals.
"We get, interestingly, two kinds of dominant individual. The first achieves dominance solely through combat, and since they're powerful and they fight, they don't remain for extended periods. The second type succeeds by using their brains, like an aspiring leader will only challenge a higher ranking one if his friend, often his brother, is with him. And you know, they remain much, much longer," she explained.
Group Dynamics
The famous researcher also examined the "political aspect" of actions, and what her comprehensive research had taught her about hostile actions exhibited by people and apes when confronted with something they considered hostile, even if no danger actually existed.
"Chimpanzees encounter an outsider from a neighboring community, and they get very stimulated, and their hair erect, and they stretch and contact each other, and they've got expressions of anger and fear, and it transmits, and the rest absorb that sentiment that one member has had, and everyone turns combative," she detailed.
"It transmits easily," she added. "Some of these demonstrations that grow violent, it sweeps through them. Everyone desires to participate and engage and grow hostile. They're defending their domain or fighting for control."
Comparable Human Reactions
When asked if she considered comparable behaviors applied to human beings, Goodall answered: "Probably, sometimes yes. But I firmly think that the majority of individuals are decent."
"My primary aspiration is raising the upcoming generation of caring individuals, foundations and growth. But do we have time? I don't know. These are difficult times."
Historical Perspective
Goodall, a London native prior to the start of the the global conflict, compared the battle with the challenges of current political landscape to Britain standing up Nazi Germany, and the "spirit of obstinance" shown by the British leader.
"However, this isn't to say you avoid having times of despair, but eventually you emerge and declare, 'OK, I won't allow to let them win'," she remarked.
"It's similar to the leader in the war, his iconic words, we will oppose them at the coastlines, we'll fight them through the avenues and the cities, then he turned aside to a friend and allegedly commented, 'and we shall combat them at the ends of shattered glass since that's everything we actually possess'."
Parting Words
In her last message, Goodall offered inspiring thoughts for those combating authoritarian control and the ecological disaster.
"At present, when the world is dark, there still is possibility. Maintain optimism. If you lose hope, you grow unresponsive and remain inactive," she counseled.
"Should you wish to preserve the remaining beauty across the globe – should you desire to protect our world for subsequent eras, your descendants, their offspring – then contemplate the actions you take daily. Since, expanded numerous, innumerable instances, modest choices will create substantial improvement."
